The Wadhurst Burundi Link is seeking to combat poverty and build a brighter future for the people of Mwumba in northern Burundi. There are no quick fixes, but together we are seeing lasting transformation in one of the poorest countries in Africa. 

How you can contribute

The work is focused on 190 of the most vulnerable children in Mwumba Primary School. Whilst sponsored children receive certain direct benefits (e.g school uniform, health services), most of the support is for the whole community in terms of training, school materials and infrastructure development  (e.g. school buildings, water supplies, crop storage).
